I build the systems organisations run on

I’m a software engineer and the founder of Violet Techies, a software studio in Nakuru, Kenya. Since 2019 I’ve built systems for donor programmes, universities and more than 100 businesses.

For USAID’s Kenya Employment for Youth programme I built the tracker that followed 300,000 young people across six counties, and for the YALI Trade Expo a platform that took over 100,000 applications.

At Safaricom’s Digifarm I built an ERP serving 20,000 farmers, and for Egerton University’s TAGDev programme I built TAGDev Connect, which tracks its young people, farms and partners and shows the programme’s impact live.

At Violet Techies we run six products, including Tikobaze for event ticketing, and build point-of-sale systems that keep shops selling when the internet drops.

I’m a certified cybersecurity analyst, I won the Pamoja Hackathon and the Konza Smart City Challenge, and I still look after the software and servers at CoELIB, Egerton University.
